“… A far more advanced digital approach [to DIY] than Moog or Buchla could possibly have imagined back in the 1960’s.” - Juno Reviews
NATO.0+55+3d was an application software for realtime video and graphics, released by 0f0003 Maschinenkunst and the Netochka Nezvanova collective in 1999 for the classic Mac OS operating system. Being one of the earliest applications to allow realtime video manipulation and display, it was used by artists for a large variety of purposes, prominently for live performance, VJing and interactive. Daisy Patch is a metamorphic sound environment capable of becoming an infinite variety of digital instruments. Patch is based on the Daisy embedded DSP platform and features quad 24-bit audio IO. The hardware itself is a blank slate ready to be brought to life with one of the many available firmware files which can be uploaded through our web programming interface. This library of instrument files includes samplers, granular processors, physical modeling voices, and more, and requires no special software to upload other than a web browser.
Custom firmware files can be created using Pure Data, Arduino, Max/MSP ~gen, or C++. Our template files will help you hit the ground running. When it comes to troubleshooting your programs, debugging is a breeze with the onboard OLED display and USB connectivity.
Whether you’re looking for a swiss army knife of DSP, or a custom audio platform for hacking, Daisy Patch will help you teach computers how to sing!

- > Hi, I was wondering if anyone know's where I can find more Max/MSP > patches especially more advanced patches. I have trouble designing > my own instruments and it would be helpful to find patches done by > others. Thank you very much!I was asking myself the same questionfor about two years until very recently. The best answer takes a bit of time: lurking on this list and looking at the patches that people often post. Also often people talk about objects that they are using which you may find interesting. Head over to http://maxobjects.com and look up those objects, download them if you can, install and look at them. Open their help files and integrate them into something you are working on.Over at https://cycling74.com this list is archived and you can search the archive, that's a good way to find solutions for something more specifc (say 'FM synthesizer').Don't forget the excellent tutorials that come with Max, either. There is some really really good and mostly simple stuff in there that can be a tremendous helpFor me the big breakthrough into Max came only recently when I started taking parts from all the help, tutorial and example files and toss them together to form something new -- instead of thinking that my patches have to be written from scratch. For most ideas someone has at least a similar solution already. It's much better to adapt those (and get your work off the ground) than to sit there, scratching your head, wondering why there is no sound coming out of groove~ *again*...;-)At least this is my conclusion to my own 'Getting started with Max/ MSP' question...
- The best stuff i found so far was here on this board. But they're not big, finished patches, they're gems on how to do specific stuff.Bigger patches would probably not even be that useful, as your design of patches will often differ to theirs and you'll have to look for interesting parts.Hey, now i think about it, a tree view of all subpatchers, would that be useful? Poly~ would have to be included, and bpatchers as well (those two need promotion anyway).
- Katsuhiro Chiba has some great patches online, at http://www.audiooo.com/jp/index.html (under 'free stuff')i remember learning a LOT by studying those

- but it's somewhat aged now and only works in 4.6 ... But you can still get a good idea of what it can do.
